Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Okay, first, before we get to the episode, a couple of things about names.

Last week on TRL, the Making the Band 3 ladies announced their group’s name: Danity Kane. Why? There better be a good reason for it! Well, Danity Kane is apparently the name of a female anime superhero Dawn draws. Once again why? Drop the Kane, Big Daddy would probably appreciate it too…plus it’s a little better by itself.

With their return to Orlando, Diddy gives them the task of mastering the art of a live performance. So he gets Doc Holliday (their voice coach) and Laurie Ann (a.k.a. Fatima wannabe a.k.a BoomKat) to prepare them for their performance at the NBA All-Star after party.

Danity Kane

The premiere of the new season gave us more insight into who these lucky ladies are and, more specifically, what they’re like at home.

First up was the tan-tastic Aubrey, who hails from Palm Springs, Calif. Was I the only one surprised by the fact that Aubrey had a boyfriend? The girl doesn’t exactly carry herself like she’s a kept woman. She also co-hosts a radio show, what’s up with that?

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Busta Rhymes

According to the New York Post’s Hasani Gittens, the rapper has just ended “one of the nastiest four-year custody battles in hip-hop history – rife with allegations she had lesbian sex in front of their children, that she does drugs in the house and that she’s an absentee mom.”

The woman in question, Rhymes’ ex-girlfriend Joanne Wood, was Busta’s high school sweetheart and had a roller-coaster romance for 10 years, a relationship that bore three children. Then, Wood decided to come out of the closet and all hell broke loose.
